5 Quick Tips That Will Wow Clients and Boost Loyalty

Set yourself apart with these simple ways to make clients feel special.

Provide Free Wifi
Have a Wi-Fi network available for clients to use, with the password printed out and placed in a clearly visible place. This seems like a very small thing to do, but customers will highly appreciate not having to use their data. It also prevents them from getting bored while waiting for their appointment in a way that is more personalized.

Offer Refreshments
Sparkling water, tea, coffee, and champagne are all great choices of beverages to offer clients. Putting out snacks on a coffee table is a good idea, too; foods such as small chocolates and wafers are safe bets, and bite-sized fruit and nuts make great healthy options.

Keep Client Cards
Remembering little details about clients is a great way to make them feel important. Keep little cue cards for each client and record any events they might have been celebrating. Before they come in again, glance at that card and ask them how the event went. You can also write down their beverage order so that you can offer it next time. They will be so pleased that you remembered!

Host an In-Store Event or Workshop
This is a great way to show off your space, create buzz about your salon, and bring in new potential clients. Open your space to rent for other peoples’ events. A small art show or a wine and cheese could do wonders for a new salon. Alternatively, host your own workshops on hair care or easy home styling. Promote your day-to-day business with small care packages, available as attendees leave. This can include sample products and a flyer of your services.

Offer Mini Services
Once people are planning to spend or have already spent money on something, they are more likely to continue doing so. Once you are done with the service the client booked in for, offer an extra, mini-service for a small price. If they enjoy it enough, they might book the full version another time!
